Master Planning
The Skillman Corporation managed the master plan and site development of 100 acres for the St. Francis Hospital South Campus in Indianapolis, IN. This development for physician offices and a new hospital were built simultaneously. The project was bid in four major packages and remained within budget from start to finish. The separate packages included an ancillary facility, cancer care center, emergency room and inpatient suites. A final package for family residence in conjunction with patient care was incorporated in response to new regulatory requirements. A separate facility for utility distribution was bid with the ancillary facility.
Move-In
Healthcare environments are dependent on very specialized equipment. Coordinating the equipment installation is a paramount step to the total success of the project. The Skillman Corporation has provided services to track purchase orders, take receipt of the equipment, oversee and manage the equipment installation, and ensure satisfactory turn over of the equipment and operating procedures to the Owner. Our staff and experience will remove any anxiety from past experience and ensure a timely and successful equipment installation.
Time Management
There is no facility that requires a more accurate date for utilization than a healthcare facility. Successful completion is not measured in just bricks and mortar, but also in cleanliness, operator understanding and documentation as well as public relations in the form of open houses and dedication ceremonies. As an extension of the Owner’s staff, The Skillman Corporation will maintain and achieve a published schedule of all the project milestones. We utilize our time management skills to coordinate and monitor the responsibilities of the professional consultants, Owner’s administration, user groups, contractors and equipment suppliers in a manner which is well orchestrated and achieves the goals of the project.
